When: June 15-18, 2026 | 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Where: UC Davis

Technology is moving fast. Want to keep up? Learn the basics of artificial intelligence (AI) and discover how it connects to real-world challenges in agriculture and environmental science.

Students and teachers team up to build AI models, code in Python, and compete for prizes! No coding experience needed — just curiosity and a passion for science.

What You'll Do

  • Learn Python and AI fundamentals using the Raspberry Pi AI Camera
  • Explore neural networks, edge computing, and image classification
  • Work in teams to develop an AI model and pitch your project
  • Compete in a friendly challenge with students and teachers
  • Tour the drone lab and see emerging applications in ag tech

Who Should Attend?

High school students who are interested in food production, sustainability, and technology — no coding experience needed

High school teachers in science or ag-related fields — no tech background required

Registration

AIFS's AI Tech Camp is free to attend and spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

This free summer camp is open to area high school students interested in STEM or AgTech and high school teachers from non-technical backgrounds.

Note: This is a day camp, not overnight. Participants must provide their own daily transportation to and from UC Davis.
