Unlock your future: Are you fascinated by cutting-edge technologies like remote sensing, AI, and drones? Do you like the idea of building your own spectrometer and exploring real-world applications?

Join us for a four-day summer camp led by UC Davis faculty focused on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

Date: July 14-17 (Monday to Thursday, 9am to 3pm)

Where: UC Davis

Week 1 (July 14-17) - Remote Sensing from Pixel to Map

  • Focus on remote sensing basics and real-world use cases
  • Build your own spectrometer with STELLA from NASA
  • Collect spectral measurements and solve spectroscopic mysteries
  • Learn JavaScript coding for satellite image processing and analytics on Google Earth Engine (GEE)

Event Details

AIFS summer camps offer area high school students the opportunity to work with passionate UC Davis professors on the university campus. Each session in designed with engaging activities to introduce students to the interdisciplinary nature of AI, tech innovation, and food systems.

Students meet new friends, learn new skills, and are introduced to potential new career fields in a fun, low-stress environment.
