Data and AI Platforms to Support Collaboration

Enhancing Collaboration and Deepening Impact: Can Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Enable New Collaborative Platforms Between Diverse Land-Grant Institutions and Create More Impactful Outcomes

Blue Ribbon Panel Members Olga Bolden-Tiller, Tuskegee University and Harold H. Schmitz, University of California, will set the stage for an opening presentation by Tom Andriola, Vice-Chancellor of Information, Technology, and Data, University of California, Irvine, on the how data and artificial intelligence platforms offer a powerful vehicle for supporting collaboration across and between organizations and for driving convergent scientific insights.

Following remarks from Steven Thomson of the USDA National Institute for Food and Agriculture (USDA-NIFA), Mason Earles, Asst. Professor of Viticulture and Enology and Biological and Agricultural Engineering, University of California, Davis and Gabe Youtsey, Chief Innovation Officer, University of California, Agriculture and Natural Resources, from AIFS, funded jointly by the National Science Foundation and the USDA-NIFA will offer perspectives on how teams from different land-grant institutions are able to work collaboratively through the institutes.
