Program Participant Perspectives

Career Exploration Fellowship Program

I think this fellowship was a really great opportunity. I learned a lot from my mentors. As someone who isn’t studying food science, this opened up my eyes to how engineering/AI can be used in this field to help improve the lives of people around the world, which is something I cannot get from a classroom. Overall, I am really happy that I was able to be a part of this program!

2021 Fellow

High School Drone Curriculum

Being a high school teacher in the heart of California's agriculture country, we struggled to find resources to learn about drones. This program has been everything we could have asked for and I hope our efforts produce a one-stop-shop for anyone wishing to explore drones. [...] Our goal is to provide a resource to suit the needs of high school educators and students, regardless of their experience with drones. I am confident we are on track to produce just that!

AIBridge Boot Camp

I've taken an online pre-recorded course on machine learning, which was beneficial when understanding some concepts. However, I struggled with really understanding the coding of Python. I don't find it very intuitive and I really needed an in person class that provided me with the opportunity to ask questions.
